
Christina Applegate (born November 25, 1971)[1] is an American actress. When she was a child, she gained recognition for starring as Kelly Bundy in the Fox sitcom Married... with Children (1987-1997). Applegate established a successful TV and film career during her later years, securing the Primetime Emmy Award from seven nominations as well as nominations for four Golden Globe Awards and a Tony Award. Applegate starred in the title role on the NBC sitcom Jesse (1998-2000) that resulted in an Golden Globe Award nomination. Applegate was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award for her guest appearance in the NBC sitcom Friends (2002-2003). The show was also nominated for the Tony Award as Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in Sweet Charity (2005). Applegate then starred in the ABC sitcom Samantha Who? She was the main character on the ABC sitcom Samantha Who? (2007-2009), where she received two Primetime Emmy Award nominees and an Golden Globe Award nomination; and the NBC sitcom Up All Night (2011).
